Sadie and Austin met on Facebook. He asked her to watch a movie with him but during their first date, he didn’t say a word to her. Sadie sensed he had a shy but sweet spirit and continued to talk to him. After the disastrous “silent date” they hung out again at a revival where Sadie’s dad was preaching. He held her hand during prayer and she immediately got butterflies. They have been inseparable since.
They were never in a huge rush to get married. Austin completed school and earned his bachelors degree in criminal justice while playing baseball every weekend to pay his way through school. She was always there.
Both of their families went through many hardships, but through everything they still had each other.
After 7 years of dating, Austin finally popped the question the day before her birthday. It was the easiest “YES!” she ever said. By that time in their lives, they both had great jobs, new cars, and a beautiful home to live in. It took a lot of hard work, but together they did it. Planning the wedding was full of surprises, tears, comparison, and lots of smiles… but the wedding was perfect. It was easy, pure, and surrounded by the sweet spirit of Jesus.
